Hunt some Rabbit in Hop Hop
Date: January 12, 2005 | Posted by: Dutchrai
Enter Hop Hop and go chase that bunny, it must be there somewhere!
A very chase-friendly world, making this map extremely suitable for Rabbit Chase. It plays well in FFA mode too, especially if you top it up with some extra OO and ST.
Now running 24/7 on a Shell Shock Game Server.

A bit of content has been added over the last few days, so I figured it might be nice to give you an overview.
- Inside the Cool Bits section, you'll now find the Mods page. There isn't much yet, but expect to see it grow.
- The Tips and Tricks page received an extra paragraph of Counter Flags. Might come in handy.
- A new rookie move has been added too, called the Fly Swatter.
- Veterans have not been neglected. Go and see if you're good at a game called Dutch Bluff.

This is one arena that can drive you wild.
Play low or on the roof, but there is no escaping the action. Ricochet masters got the edge in here. Best served with 4 double speed shots and no flags.

Back Online
Date: December 28, 2004 | Posted by: Dutchrai
Shell Shock is back online again, after being down for 3 days.
My apologies for the downtime. There was a technical difficulty with the webserver, and combined with Christmas activities it could not be solved overnight. Both Game Servers remained running however.
Tomorrow I expect to finish and release Super Bowl. A beta currently runs on the shellshock.bzflag.bz:4501 server.
Christmas Special: CTF Quadlord

Now you can rough it out with 4 teams on CTF Quadlord, a conversion from the 2 team CTF Overlord.
Get it loaded with 16 players and see if you can keep up. Get the adrenaline pumping. Feel the rush. Focus. And when you've done all that, move in for a clean kill.
Download CTF Quadlord or play it on the rotating shellshock.bzflag.bz:4501 game server.
Merry Christmas!

Shell Shock updates
Date: December 16, 2004 | Posted by: Dutchrai
Two cool pages have been added to the site.
The first is the Mappers Cafe, in which you will find a list of all BZFlag mappers with a website.
Second is the BZ Science datasheet, great for those who really want to know everything about driving tanks.
Oh...and the Links page has received a major update too. Please contact me if you have a site but you are missing. My intention is to make this a complete, categorized, easy to use and one-stop links spot for BZFlag.
Shell Shock is Back
Date: December 16, 2004 | Posted by: Dutchrai
After more than a year of absence, Shell Shock is joining the great BZflag community again.
The BZflag fansite will once more play host to resources like maps, guides and other cool BZflag stuff. It's still early days though and some pages are currently missing, most notably, a section for user's maps. However, pages will be added over the weeks to come.
But don't let this stop you. You already can have a go at whatever you can spot in the menu.
A special thanks goes to learner for hosting Shell Shock on his server, and to all others who have kindly offered to host Shell Shock as well.
The official address for Shell Shock is now http://shellshock.bzflag.bz
BZflag game servers can be found running on the same address.
